Dear patients,
With this information about the dental practice FOCHT & FOCHT, you can get to know us a little beforehand. Above all, this profile gives you the opportunity to learn the basics about a number of selected treatment focuses of the practice.
We are an owner-operated dental practice in Konstanz, where treatments are carried out by the dentist couple Dr. David Focht and Dr. Roxanne Focht. You can rely on being treated by the same dentist each time. In a personal consultation, we take ample time to understand your concerns and together find the optimal solution for your dental health at fair prices.
A special focus of our practice is on dental implants and modern CEREC technology. With CEREC, we can often produce and place high-quality ceramic dental crowns in a single session. For our patients, this means: no unpleasant impressions, no temporary crowns, and an immediately highly aesthetic result.
Our dental practice is located in Konstanz on Lake Constance in a central and convenient location, just a few minutes from the Swiss border and only a 3-minute walk from the train station. Focht & Focht – Dentist in Konstanz
Our practice and our team you have already gotten to know. Now we would like to inform you about the services you can receive at our dental practice in Konstanz.
CEREC
Are you looking for high-quality dental restorations and have decided on ceramic crowns or bridges? Then, as a competent dentist in Konstanz, we can offer you the modern CEREC procedure. The main advantage: the unpleasant impression of your teeth using impression material is eliminated. Instead, your teeth are captured with an intraoral scanner and visually processed. Another plus of the CEREC treatment: your new dental restoration is integrated into your dentition in the same session. Wearing a temporary crown is therefore unnecessary. You receive a high-quality, individually crafted dental restoration.
Pediatric Dentistry
As a dentist in Konstanz, we treat your children not only with empathy but also educate you about proper dental care and nutrition for your child. Of course, your children are involved and receive understandable instructions for proper dental care. We aim to ensure that children are not afraid of the dentist and see visits as a natural routine. Key treatments in pediatric dentistry include fluoride application and sealing of milk teeth to prevent cavities. We also teach your children the correct brushing techniques.

Implantology
Implantology is one of the specialties of our dental practice in Konstanz. Implants are particularly stable and durable dental restorations. They are small titanium screws implanted directly into the jawbone. This is followed by a three- to six-month adaptation phase before the implants are firmly anchored. Implants can serve as the basis for both fixed and removable restorations, such as partial or full dentures. You are in the best hands with us. We have many years of experience in implantology and regularly participate in further training.
Aligner Therapy
For any misalignment of the front teeth, aligner therapy is the first choice. Compared to conventional braces, it has many advantages. Also known as Invisalign, your teeth are moved during the therapy without being visible to others. The aligners are transparent plastic trays that gently yet effectively straighten misaligned teeth. You remove the trays while eating and during oral care. Both removal and reinsertion are simple and easy. If you are interested in this convenient and invisible therapy, contact us. In an initial consultation, we will find the solution that best suits you. The actual therapy usually lasts six to nine months, depending on the severity of your misalignment.
Laser
Dental lasers used in our practice can be applied to various treatments. For root canal treatments, laser light has proven particularly effective, as it significantly reduces germs and has an antibacterial effect. Root canals are directly treated with the laser, effectively eliminating harmful bacteria. Lasers are also successfully used in treating periodontitis. When applied to the periodontal pockets, various deposits can be targeted and removed without affecting the surrounding soft tissue. The laser beam acts antibacterial and can remove bacteria and germs completely compared to most other methods.
Prophylaxis
Only those who take proper preventive measures can maintain healthy and beautiful teeth into old age. Brushing alone is not enough. Regular dentist visits and especially professional dental cleaning are essential for oral health. Naturally, our practice offers professional dental cleaning with state-of-the-art devices. Modern ultrasonic devices remove tartar, and the Air Flow method eliminates more stubborn discoloration. After cleaning, we provide personalized advice on proper oral hygiene.
Endodontology
Endodontology, or root canal therapy, is applied whenever damaged teeth need to be preserved. Inflamed dental nerves can cause severe pain. In such cases, we thoroughly clean your root canals, often using a laser. Existing root fillings that become inflamed can also be treated. For all endodontic treatments, we are equipped with the latest devices to provide the best possible care.
Periodontology
Periodontitis is a widespread disease and one of the most common causes of tooth loss in older age. It is a disease of the supporting structures of the teeth, where the gums gradually recede. Frequent gum bleeding or a bad taste in the mouth can be early signs of periodontitis. Once you notice these symptoms, visit our dental practice. Chronic periodontitis often develops silently, causing no pain but leading to tooth loss. With modern treatment methods, we can manage periodontitis effectively and prevent tooth loss. Inflamed gum tissue is treated with a laser, which is completely painless and risk-free.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
How often should one go to the dentist?
What to do in case of acute tooth pain?
In case of acute tooth pain, we recommend seeing a dentist immediately. Please call us beforehand so that we can assess how urgent immediate treatment is.
Should children visit the dentist more often?
As a rule, 2 dental visits per year are not sufficient for children and adolescents. Since teeth are still developing at a young age, we recommend visiting the dentist 3–4 times a year. This allows potential tooth damage as well as misalignments to be detected and treated at an early stage.
Should smokers visit the dentist more often?
Smokers have an increased risk of developing gum disease, therefore it is recommended for smokers to visit the dentist 3–4 times a year.
What does a professional dental cleaning cost
Statutory insured patients have been paying approximately 100 euros for this since October 2017.
Bonus booklet? What are the benefits?
The bonus booklet documents regular check-ups for the health insurance. With a complete bonus booklet, you can expect higher subsidies for dental prosthetics such as bridges, crowns, and dentures.
What happens if I lose my bonus booklet?
All treatments are documented with us, so in case of loss, we can issue you a new bonus booklet.
